Transnet fires executives over wrongdoing during State Capture years

The dismissal of Sishi, Moodley and Qalinge is part of the efforts by Transnet group CEO Portia Derby to clean up the company’s governance structures compromised during the State Capture years. Since Derby’s appointment by the Cabinet as group chief executive in January 2020, her focus has been to remove middle managers and senior executives implicated in State Capture and reorganising the top leadership structure to remove redundancies. Dismissal of four Prasa senior officials widely welcomed

Allegations of corruption at City Power

Businessman in court for fraud and forgery

CSA chief Thabang Moroe remains suspended despite pitching up for work

Cricket South Africa’s Board of Directors stated emphatically that Thabang Moroe remains suspended pending the outcome of an independent forensic audit. Namibia: Postfin Agent Appears for Fraud

A 29-year-old PostFin agent in Tsumeb was on Friday arrested for theft under false pretence for allegedly defrauding clients. The suspect Ndapewa Gertze appeared in the Tsumeb Magistrate's Court on Monday where she was granted bail of N$1 500 and her matter postponed to 24 August this year. It is alleged that Gertze had on several occasions requested refunds on loans advanced to unsuspecting clients, claiming that they are erroneously over paid, while in essence keeping the funds to herself. DRC seeks 20-year jail term for Vital Kamerhe in graft case
